These Katanas are high carbon steel. These swords have a full tang and are sharp so they are ready for test cutting. The handles have been permanently attached to the tang, there are no pins. The square steel tsuba shows four of the nine ninja hand positions. The scabbard and handle are wooden. The scabbard is then lacquered. The tsuba cannot be replaced on this sword. This sword is sharp and ready for cutting.
